(2004) dir. Matthew Vaughn
Pretty entertaining English gangster film directed by the producer of Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels (1998) and Snatch. (2000). It seemingly turns out the Guy Ritchie was the one who brought the comedic element to those films, since this flick is much in the same style with a multitude of characters and complicated rolls of betrayals and plot twists, but sans the humor of the other films. Daniel Craig is good and it’s quite an admirable genre flick, though it doesn’t really break any new ground. I enjoyed it.
